YOUNG ADULT MIN HIGHLIGHTS
About the Position
Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church is prayerfully seeking a Youth and Young Adult Pastor to join our team. We are looking for a servant-hearted leader who feels called to lead the next generation into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Our community is ripe for harvest, and we need someone who will guide and support parents in discipling their teens and come alongside young adults as they navigate a pivotal stage of life and faith.
The right candidate will be a disciple who makes disciples—someone who is mission-minded and gifted in shepherding both teens and young adults. Relational skills and emotional intelligence are a must in this role. This pastor will work closely with our Discipleship Pastor, Children’s Minister, and a strong team of volunteer youth sponsors to help families cultivate a legacy of faith in their homes. Where parental support is lacking, this pastor will help provide spiritual mentorship through the broader church family.
This is a team-oriented role for someone who thrives in collaboration, understands the challenges families face today, and desires to see lasting transformation through intergenerational discipleship and gospel-centered ministry.
About Brenneman
Brenneman is a multi-generational, Christ-centered church with a rich legacy and a growing future. We have an average in-person attendance of 350-400. Our staff team currently includes seven full-time and seven part-time members:
Full-Time Staff: Lead Pastor, Associate/Discipleship Pastor, Worship Pastor, Children’s Minister, Business Administrator, Finance/Office Manager, and Ministry Resident
Part-Time Staff: Pastor of Pastoral Care, Ministry Assistant, Facilities Manager, and two Facilities Assistants
Our student ministry currently reaches 40 middle and high school students through vibrant weekly programs, including a combined Wednesday night worship gathering and age-specific Sunday School classes. Our newly-formed young adult ministry currently reaches 22 and meets weekly on Sunday mornings and gathers monthly for fellowship and discipleship.
Our student ministry has a history of raising up disciples; we have seen several graduate with a call to full-time ministry in recent years. This happens in part through sponsors mentoring students, through our student-led worship team, and through a student leadership team. Our students enjoy volleyball, hanging out before and after youth group, Taco Bell, and challenging one another to grow in their faith. They also participate in an annual youth ministry conference and annual short-term mission trips.
About Our Communities
Goshen is a vibrant mid-sized city in northern Indiana near the Michigan border. It is economically, ethnically, and culturally diverse, offering a wonderful balance of small-town hospitality and big-city amenities. Goshen is a great place to raise a family, with strong local schools and deep community roots. At the same time, the area faces real spiritual and social challenges—and the changing demographics present a unique opportunity to reach the unreached with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
